Conducted by Laura Joella, the Florida Atlantic University Symphony Orchestra’s opening concert of the 28th season will showcase Music’s Greatest Stories, featuring Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, Op. 35; Thomas Sleeper’s “Four Wonders” Overture; and two works by FAU Alumni: Dr. Troy Gifford’s Milonga Abandonada; and the world premiere performance of Trevor Smith’s Atlantic Fanfare for Orchestra.
