The John O’Sullivan Memorial Concert Remembering the 1960s & Woodstock

Barry Kaye Events
Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium
Wednesday, Oct 16, 2019 at 7:00 PM (ET)

As we approach the 50-year anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival in upstate New York that attracted close to half a million people, FAU celebrates the music of the 60s. Commercial music students Jayla Thompson, Stephanie Pankewich, Sam Miller, Camie Wheeler, and Jacob Bates (and band) will recreate the festival and the 1960s with songs like "Piece of My Heart," "War," "Purple Haze" and "Back in the U.S.S.R." Narrative on the culture of the times will be provided by FAU Professor Kelly Shannon.
