Enjoy a splendid evening of orchestral masterworks from operas to folk songs, highlighting selections from Georges Bizet’s Carmen, featuring FAU’s own Mitchell Hutchings, baritone, and Monica Berovides-Hidalgo, mezzo-soprano; including a special performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams, Folk Songs of the Four Seasons, featuring Berovides-Hidalgo, in collaboration with the FAU Women’s Chorus, directed by Stacie Lee Rossow. The overture from Franz von Suppe’s comical operetta Pique Dame will add playful and lighthearted fun to the evening’s performance. The FAU Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Laura Joella.
